Born and raised in Southern Illinois, Kristina is a Midwesterner with an international sensibility. She has a B.A. in Government from University of Texas at Austin and a M.A. in Teaching from the College of New Jersey and an opinion on everything. She has worked as a copywriter, marketing coordinator, web and collateral designer, and manuscript editor. As a voracious reader, she suffers from the “I-can’t-go-to-sleep-until-I-find-out-how-it-ends” syndrome and loves writers that can both make her gasp at a beautifully crafted phrase and at an unexpected plot twist. And she firmly believes that traditional genre boundaries should not apply to great writing.

A writer and engineer with Greek, Syrian and Tennessean roots, Jason brings an eclectic viewpoint to bear on the fiction he is writing and the work he is reviewing. His publishing background includes 18 years with McGraw-Hill as a magazine editor, three non-fiction books, countless business and technical articles, and five published short stories. He has attended several writers workshops including the Sewanee Writers Conference, and he reviews short fiction for
Short Review. He holds a Chemical Engineering degree from Columbia University in New York and is currently taking graduate courses in sociology. His true love, however, is literary fiction that pushes the boundaries of style beyond the demands of plot or character.
