BSP was founded to change all that. Our goal is to see that talented writers do not have to go it alone. Like the VC firms that support promising technology firms, BSP intends to identify writers who not only have talent, but who have the drive and determination to succeed. By focusing on just a few authors at a time and using flexible, customizable techniques to develop and market projects, BSP will not only keep up with the industry, but actually surpass publishers who are sticking with old techniques or are simply creating e-books instead of trying to truly understand the future of publishing. Unlike other independent publishers or agents, we want to believe in you, work with you, nurture your talent, and most importantly, invest in you, before your story is even finished.

You must live in the greater St. Louis region (the “heartland”), and want a team of experienced professionals working toward your success.
·>BSP is looking for talented, committed fiction writers.
You don’t need to have an MFA. You don’t need publishing credentials. You don’t even need to have written a book. We are looking for good fiction writers who want to pursue writing as a career and who are willing to put in the effort to write a novel in less than a year.

If you have expertise in a particular area or experiences that will translate into a compelling, well-written book, we would like to hear from you. For non-fiction authors, being an writer need not be your career goal, but you must be committed to presenting your research or telling your story through clear, beautifully written prose.

You don’t need to know how to market your book or even market yourself. That’s our job. We just ask that you recognize that every bestselling author is supported by a network of editors, publishers, marketing professionals and readers. The BSP difference is that we will invest in your success earlier than virtually any other agent or publisher is willing to today.
